Hi, Since the last update, I'm getting a consistent crash when I try to join any MP server. All is fine in SP, and I was on an MP server last night with no issues, pre-update. I've attached the relevant bits of the logs below. Looks like it's trying to move or save the server trk file, whatever that means.

Any ideas?

Many thanks.

Do you have any mods installed?

One mod in particular is now causing crashes when you join a server that doesn't have that mod: the VSN F-4. None of the other mods I have installed are causing a crash. But the patch changed something to do with the files being accessed by mods, which definitely broke the VSN F-4.

If you have mods installed, move them to a temp folder, then try joining multiplayer. If that fixes the problem, put the mods back in one at a time to find out which one is causing the issue. If you don't have mods installed, I have no idea what is causing your problem.

You've not supplied the full log file, that snippet isn't enough to determine root cause. Attach your full log to this post for review.

There are numerous mods that can cause this as well, e.g. Su-30 is also known to be broken. Remove all those, run a slow repair of the game choosing the option to remove extra files.

Mods may or may not be the problem, would need the full log.

You have a crap load of mods installed.  I'd start by cutting and pasting them somewhere else and seeing if things work then add them one by one.  I see the VSN 104 mod.  Several of the other VSN mods are causing issues currently so I'd start there if you don't want to remove them all.

Having same issue when joining any MP server. I only had 5 Aircraft mods. I took them out and it runs

At a minimum uploading your DCS log file is going to at least give people a fighting chance to help you.

OK, thanks. I looked at the logsdcs.log-20250320-195103.zipdcs.log-20250320-194653.zipdcs.log-20250320-201032.zipdcs.log-20250320-200122.zip and those were the places where I could see a failure. Here are the full logs from the session where the game started crashing.

As pointed out, you have a lot of mods. The DCS log analyzer also indicates that the cause of one of the crashes is due to a RAM issue.

Memory Timing Issues

  • Remove any overclocking (XMP) from your RAM.

Take care of that and see if this continues to occur.

Thanks, I'll check the mods again, they're mainly mandated for the server I fly on all the time.

To my knowledge, there is no overclocking on my RAM, my system is pretty vanilla. How would I check?

I had exactly the same problem. Deleting all mods solved this immediately. If you use OVGME or similar mod installers check out if there are any remaining files in your mod folder.

OK, all sorted now.

I went into the BIOS and there was a XMP profile enabled, presumably from the makers. I disabled it, but no effect on the DCS crash in MP.

I removed all the aircraft mods, and it ran OK in MP. After a bunch of restarting, it turned out to be the JAS39 Gripen mod which was stopping it.

A4C, OH6, UH60, Bronco, SK60 and T45 are all fine currently.

Many thanks for the input.

All CH-47F cargo internal loading is broken after last update!!!

You should make your own thread to report this (it will be missed in here) and post a track of this happening in it.

Not all mods are causing problems. I have quite a few installed, but only the VSN F-4 was causing crashes. The VSN F-4 already has a hotfix out which has solved the problem, which not only caused crashes on my client, but broke dynamic spawning on aircraft carriers on my VSN servers that host the VSN F-4.

None of the other VSN mods I had installed caused me problems. The following worked normally for me:
VSN F-100, VSN F-104, VSN F-105, VSN F-106, VSN F-84, VSN F-80, VSN F9F, VSN Mirage III.

Besides VSN mods, the following worked fine for me:
A-29B, OV-10 Bronco, OH-6 Cayuse, C-130J Hercules, A-4E-C Skyhawk, MiG-25, VNAO T-45 Goshawk.
