Also, I get taken out while hovering low in deep forests by tanks firing through trees, do the trees offer any protection against missile or gun fire? I suspect not which is a great shame, as surely this is a main attack helicopter tactic. We could also maybe have some higher trees in the game, although I've never been to the Caucasus region. To be honest, my exploration of the map has been limited so far. I just saw an earlier thread on this. I can't answer for Soviet block tactics but I've seen plenty of footage of low flying between trees by Nato helicopters. Particularly around the Fulda gap, where large cleared tracts were made in the forests for this purpose to defend against the overwhelming number of tanks the Soviets had in the cold war era.
