Morning all.

Bought my crystal light a few months ago now after upgrading from a quest 3 and i just cant get it to run smooth. I can be getting 70fps but when i move my head the cockpits are all juddery/ghosting? Anyone else had these issues?

I have tried dialling everything back and slowly dialling back up but it still does it?

Im running a 12900K cpu with 64gig ram and a rtx3090 on windows 11

Me too; Looking sideways, up or down, cockpit follows the direction of my nose. ..and jittering.
Support acts like "I know naathing"
Even told me to "make a video"
I've given up on those guys.
Hardly playing DCS anymore.

Hello!
I have almost the same configuration, the difference is that I have an RTX 3090Ti 24GB vga card. 64GB DDR5 RAM & i12900K CPU 🙂

I have no problems in VR. Obviously you have to make compromises with this VGA in terms of graphics. What may be important is that I use the new DLSS.

I have made compromises already and getting 70fps but i am still getting this ghosting/.juddery issue when turning my head? I never had these issues with the quest 3 running as low as 45fps?

I run a 4080 Super and am not experiencing ghosting or jitter. 9800X3D + 64GB DDR56000. You could post screenshots of your ingame settings plus your PIMAX settings and then we could get a better idea of where the issue might be coming from

There are some "issues" with the Pimax Light.

1. You have no Eye Tracking

2. The Image Smoothing from Pimax doesn't work very well.

Because of those 2 points you have to lower your settings a lot.

If not done already you can use the option Lock to Half Frames in the Pimax Software. Use 90 Hz, lock to Half Frames, lock your max Frames within the NVidia-Driver Software to 45 and you should get a smoother experience.

Even people with a 4090 have to lower their settings with a Crystal Light, coming from a Crystal OG. Eye Tracking is the most important part for any kind of VR Headset. Without Eye Tracking, you have to lower your settings.

The guy below has made a good video of how to setup you Crystal Light. But he is using a 4090. If you look at your settings and the ones he is using, you will notice your settings are too high.

A 4090 is 75 % faster as the 3090Ti you are using.

Please read this Thread if not already done. It's about micro stutters but gives a good help for your problem too.
