Licenceless Posted April 5 Posted April 5 dcs.log This is the log file posted immediately after crash. Until now it it worked "fine" - VR would display a blue screen for a split second and crash every now and than. Now it just crashes. Sometimes after a couple of minutes I spawn in the plane, some times immediately upon spawn.
rob10 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 There are a bunch of errors related to the A-4 mod. I'd start looking there. 1
Licenceless Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 @rob10 i'm not good with computers, what do i need to look for?
MAXsenna Posted April 5 Posted April 5 @rob10 i'm not good with computers, what do i need to look for? First just rename the mods folder in Saved Games to mods.old, if that works, we can sort the errors. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
Licenceless Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 @MAXsennaDone, should I retry and provide a new log?
MAXsenna Posted April 5 Posted April 5 @MAXsennaDone, should I retry and provide a new log? Yes, please! It didn't make any difference? Does this only happen in VR? I know Reverb owners had some cable issues in the past, and what Windows version are you on? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
sleighzy Posted April 6 Posted April 6 (edited) Your log is spammed with USB unplug/plug events. Check to make sure your have Hot plugging disabled in your DCS controls settings. If it is then you may have a USB power management issue. Make sure you're using a powered USB hub, and also turn off power management on your USB controllers in Windows Device Manager. The final ones occur around the time it has issues with your OpenXR runtime. 2025-04-05 14:05:34.254 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] Realtek USB2.0 Audio 2025-04-05 14:05:34.265 WARNING LOG (12756): 2 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-04-05 14:05:34.265 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant consumer control device 2025-04-05 14:05:34.276 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant phone 2025-04-05 14:05:34.287 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] USB Composite Device 2025-04-05 14:05:34.298 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant vendor-defined device 2025-04-05 14:05:34.309 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] USB Input Device 2025-04-05 14:05:35.429 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): [16:05:35.631][Info ] OpenXR: XrEventDataSessionStateChanged: state XR_SESSION_STATE_FOCUSED->XR_SESSION_STATE_VISIBLE session=2 time=145625803405200 2025-04-05 14:05:35.429 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): [16:05:35.631][Info ] OpenXR: XrEventDataSessionStateChanged: state XR_SESSION_STATE_VISIBLE->XR_SESSION_STATE_SYNCHRONIZED session=2 time=145625803410900 2025-04-05 14:05:35.429 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): [16:05:35.631][Info ] OpenXR: XrEventDataSessionStateChanged: state XR_SESSION_STATE_SYNCHRONIZED->XR_SESSION_STATE_STOPPING session=2 time=145625803413400 2025-04-05 14:05:35.445 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): [16:05:35.646][Info ] OpenXR: XrEventDataSessionStateChanged: state XR_SESSION_STATE_STOPPING->XR_SESSION_STATE_IDLE session=2 time=145625827904300 2025-04-05 14:05:35.445 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): [16:05:35.646][Info ] OpenXR: XrEventDataSessionStateChanged: state XR_SESSION_STATE_IDLE->XR_SESSION_STATE_EXITING session=2 time=145625827909200 2025-04-05 14:05:35.445 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): OpenXR: request exit 2025-04-05 14:05:35.453 ERROR ED_SOUND (17788): IAudioClient::GetCurrentPadding failed: 0x88890004 (AUDCLNT_E_DEVICE_INVALIDATED) This also shows the same behaviour for your displays, headset and monitor 2025-04-05 14:05:38.011 INFO EDCORE (Main): (dDispatcher)enterToState_:3 2025-04-05 14:05:38.277 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [DISPLAY] Mixed Reality headset 2025-04-05 14:05:38.278 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [DISPLAY] Generic Non-PnP Monitor 2025-04-05 14:05:38.279 WARNING LOG (12756): 2 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-04-05 14:05:38.279 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] Generic USB Hub 2025-04-05 14:05:38.281 INFO EDCORE (Main): (dDispatcher)enterToState_:5 Edited April 6 by sleighzy 1 AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
Licenceless Posted April 6 Author Posted April 6 (edited) @sleighzy @MAXsennadcs.log This time nothing crashed and i did the same scenario as always, taking off from the carrier in A4 on the same empty server. I had to rename mods.old back to mods because I need to fly the A4. I do have the original cable and it has given me loads of trouble - blue screen crashes. It takes a few dozen tries of plugging and unplugging to start it properly, mostly it gives 4-1 or 7-14 errors. I am using a WIN 10 22h2 build 19045.5608. Unplug and plug events were because I did turn hotplug on for a sec as DCS would recognize my stick as my throttle, I managed to make it work and disabled hotplug later. I am using a powered USB hub. Its a DC 5V one. It has given me problems previously so the only thing plugged into it is my Reverb G2 cable with type c to 3.0 adapter, the hub is plugged into the front panel. The rest of the peripherals are plugged into my a350b mobo. I disabled power management in device manager for all USB stuff. I noticed that it keeps reloading so something is constantly plugged and unplugged. It only happens when I plug in the headset and I can see USB symbol flashing in bottom right of windows screen panel. I found which USB it is in device manager by process of elimination but it doesn't have power management tab. My specs are R7 5800X3D 32gb ddr4 at 3200mhz NVME m.2 (for DCS with a 64gb page file) SSD HDD RTX 3080 750watt corsair power supply (silver 80 plus) I have a theory that my power supply just isn't enough for all the peripherals and the system with main culprit being the 3080.
