Control surface checks during startup question

Question I am hoping someone can help me out with. I am running the FCS-Bit at startup and get the ok on the FCS page. I then press takeoff trim and do my flight surfaces checks.  I’m finding that my flight surfaces don’t always show full deflection on the FCS page. I guess most noticeably when I do full forward stick my stabilators will only deflect to 3 degrees nose up.  Shouldn’t they get to 20 degrees ND?  My other control surfaces get closer to the deflections in the check list but not perfect. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here

I believe that's a function of T/O trim. After resetting FCS but before pressing T/O trim, I see 9 degrees nose down STAB when pushing the stick forward. After pressing T/O trim, the STAB shows 12 degrees nose up with no stick movement, and 3 degrees nose up when pushing the stick forward. The difference being the 9 degrees. Also, I don't believe the stabiliator moves the same amount when pushing the stick forward as it does when pulling it back, because the negative G limit is -3 while the position G limit is 7 ( or higher when holding the paddle switch )

The NATOPS says when cycling the controls after pressing FCS Reset, T/O trim, and setting flaps to auto, you should see the following:

Full Aft: 24 NU stab

Full forward: 3 NU stab

R/L aileron: Check 20 units differential stabilator. Check differential trailing edge flaps.

Thank you Pacoo.  I bet you ate right and I’m making the mistake of hitting the T/O trim before checking. I’ll report back again when I get a chance to jump back in the pit. Knew I must be doing something out of order. Cheers
