Automatic Saving of Tracks now mandatory ?

For the past time, we were able to disble the automatic saving of tracks from multiplayer sessions by simply adding the autoexec.cfg line disable_write_track = true

I noticed since some weeks, this no longer works. Every MP session again saves a track. Have there been any changes and if so, how to disable it again ?

I believe MP tracks always save no matter what the setting. That setting only affects SP missions.

As i said, one could disable it by altering the file as mentioned above. Worked for years now and seems to have stopped working.

Hence this thread, i wonder if there have been any changes made and how to set it right again,

I've had the autoexec setting set to disable tracks for years on my install, but MP tracks always saved. It may be a "recording" setting possibly. Ie to reduce processing overheads during SP missions.

I don´t fly SP at all so i don´t know about recordings there. I just say i had the initial issue with tracks being saved in every MP session.

Then i stumbled upon the autoexec command and tried it years ago - no more MP tracks saved since then. Success.

That´s how i tell there´s some connection between the command line and the track saving
