Tom P Posted Friday at 01:52 AM Posted Friday at 01:52 AM Hear me out. The F10 fog of war is great, and as a mission maker it would be great to have smaller drones such as a raven, puma, shadow. The raven and puma being operated by a raven/puma team throwing it up to recon the local area or a small operating range so those that use the fog of war can see certain areas where friendlies are operating. For example if you have a MQ-9 up revealing a large area but the line of sight(LOS) is blocked due to terrain. Have a trigger so a smaller UAS can reveal their local area. And only can be up for a limited time due to battery life(raven/puma). And then a shadow can be placed in for a reaper as well since not ever UAS mission requires a reaper. And if you wanted it broken down to be more realistic (I'm probably off on some of these) - Raven/Puma: company & battalion asset 2 man teams - Shadow: Brigade asset can be launched from a shuttle or require and airfield - MQ-9: Brigade/Division asset. Not everybody gets the big drones requires an airfield Just a wish list item. I don't think this would require any documentation due to us literally having a reaper. If it did I'm sure a public TM is available. Or it could just be a reskinned reaper with a smaller hitbox.
