Bearskin Posted April 28 Posted April 28 As others have noted, the F10, freezing, stuttering, crashing in VR, press F10, or the equivalent hotas binding, come back into game, and every 5 seconds the game freezes, eventually crashing the game. I have finally found my problem and I F10nd about 20 times and I came back with 90 FPS every time. I switched back to full screen and unticked confine cursor to screen. Maybe only one fixed it or maybe both, but I ain't touching either of them again, I can finally play after 2 to 3 years of firing up DCS, crashing on the F10 map, getting pi**ed off, taking down my flight gear and setting my wheel back up for driving sims. If this fix keeps on working, I might start buying stuff again. 1 Z790, 13700K, RTX4080, 32 gig RAM, Warthog, WarBRD base , Virpil Pedals, Pico 4
Bearskin Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 Here's an update, I uninstalled and re-installed DCS world since there is only one version now and the F10 map stuttering and crashing came back, so I pulled the trigger on 64gig, 6400, RAM. Wow it is like a new game, no stutters, no crashes, game MS has dropped from low teens to between 2 and 5 ms, latency has dropped from low 70's to low 50's, I have been playing for a week in the Apache on Syria and Afghanistan and it is stable. I am happy I can finally play with confidence of it not crashing, but sad that it took 64 gig of memory to do it. Z790, 13700K, RTX4080, 32 gig RAM, Warthog, WarBRD base , Virpil Pedals, Pico 4
domin88 Posted July 9 Posted July 9 (edited) Thanks for the update! I just switched to a new mobile plan with tmobile, and honestly, it’s been great so far. The plan comes with way more data than I’ll probably ever need, which is perfect since I stream and browse a lot on the go. The coverage in my area has been solid too—no dropped calls or weird dead zones so far. But what really sold me was their customer service. The whole switching process was smooth from start to finish. Activating the new SIM took just a few minutes, and there were no long waits or confusing steps. It was totally hassle-free, which isn’t always the case with mobile providers. Edited Monday at 08:12 PM by domin88
