Alexified Posted Sunday at 07:15 PM Posted Sunday at 07:15 PM (edited) DCS VR ran smoothly for a while, but since today, I've noticed that only about 50% of my GPU power is being used in VR. When I fly in 2D, I have a utilization of 99%. I also tried the same settings in VR as in 2D, but even then, I have a different GPU utilization. I have absolutely no idea how this could have suddenly changed. My latency in VD is sometimes at 37, then it goes back up to 59, and my game latency increases from 1 to 12ms. I've implemented all the tuning and optimization tips on my PC (Core Parking, Game Mode off, HAGS, etc.). Thanks for your help. i9-13900K - 4090 - 64GB RAM - VD - Meta Quest 3 on 6GHz dedicated TP-Link BE550 - Latest DLSS Preset K Edited Sunday at 07:29 PM by Alexified
SharpeXB Posted Monday at 12:22 AM Posted Monday at 12:22 AM My guess would be that VR is more demanding on the CPU since it’s drawing dual images. So that bottleneck means the GPU isn’t being utilized fully. 1 i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
