Richrach Posted May 15 Posted May 15 WinWing users, I run the A-4-E in the sim. Just got the WinWing Orion2 setup, but it does not recognize the A-4. Downloaded the WinWing Orion2 HOTAS - A-4E-C Profile from downloads. Now where does it go so I can get WinWing to recognize the A-4?
Richrach Posted May 16 Author Posted May 16 Hoss, thank you for the word but that does not help. Where (file location) does the WinWing Orion2 HOTAS - A-4E-C Profile need to be unzipped to? Yes, I have SimAppPro and have tried to use it. The "directions" which are more like a treasure map created by a drug-fueled Martian are about useless. For the simple unfrozen caiveman I am, I need actual directions on what to do with this file. So far nothing I have tried has worked.
MustangSally Posted May 16 Posted May 16 You need to import the profile in DCS options. https://youtu.be/RmVCRdFiKRo?si=G3g3vNtESbvJUSPx 1 Ryzen 9 7950X3D - MSI MAG X670E TomaHawk MB, ASUS ROG Ryujin III 360 AIO 64gig Corsair DDR5@6000, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 AORUS Winwing Super Taurus, Orion2, TO / Combat panels, Collective with Topgun MIP Winwing Skywalker pedals, NLR Boeing Mil Edition Simpit, 55" Samsung Odyssey Ark, Trackir
_Hoss Posted May 17 Posted May 17 If you downloaded it from DCS Files downloads you need to unpack it and look at the read-me file. That should tell you where to install it. If you don't have OVGME Mod manager you need to get it. https://youtu.be/DG01WM3fhHU?si=LyCiv02mYK79EGXn Sempre Fortis
_Hoss Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) Here is a YouTube link for a OVGME tutorial. I used to use jsgme, but like this much better. This video is a pretty good tutorial on how to set it up and use it. And a quick look at file structure. Some people are lazy with their mods and don't take the time to properly set up the correct file structure. There is a link in the video where to find the OVGME download. https://youtu.be/DG01WM3fhHU?si=NMpMOU9JxMkWAh8r Edited May 18 by _Hoss Sempre Fortis
