Hi Sandman,

Just completed M1 and M2 and I must say this is realy excellent so far. I loved the intro sequence, music and the voiced briefings. I also like flying as #4 despite the rather eratic AI behaviour. Makes a nice change from alway being lead. The judgement from lead in M1 was quite strict, but fair. 😉

Some ideas for improvements; Would be nice if the campaign automatically detected when you tuned to the right radio freq. And also it would be nice if you could, instead of pressing spacebar, you could flip a switch. Baltic Dragon implemented both these in his latest campaigns and it is very helpeful for the imersion and flow.

Looking forward to continue with the campaign. Also enjoyed your excellent Sandworm campaign btw. Keep them coming! 🙂

Thank you for your feedback.

After playing the Arctic Thunder campaign, I’ve been planning to implement this innovative idea into my own campaigns. It’s a task that involves testing and will take some months to complete, so I haven’t had the chance to do it yet, but I believe it will happen at some point.

Also look into if you can disable afterburner use for lead until the time of actual combat. 🙂 I recently watched a youtube from Spudnocker explaining this feature in the ME.

Good point. That was my plan at the first place. Unfortunately at the time of making the campaign the feature wasn't working fluently so I had to leave it. It might be worth of trying but will need quite a lot of work and testing as there are lots of timing based triggers.

I concur with all, beautiful start to the campaign! Would be awesome to be able to program AIs to not use burners or the speedbrake.
Just minor point on Intro 2, the datalink does not appear to be working within the flight. Also, not at all important to this mission, but Lion 1-2 and Lion 1-3 do not have a 9X as briefed.

Thank you for your feedback. I have submitted a patch to reduce ai AB use. Should be out in the next update.

I'll take a look what's the problem with data link and AIM-9

Yeah you are right. They have somehow lost their missiles. I'll fix that. At the moment I have no idea why the datalink is not working in this mission as settings are same as in all the other missions. Trying to find reason for that.

It may have been operator error; I'm just relearning the hornet to fly a fresh batch of campaigns. I didn't check datalink freq or anything, as it really doesn't matter for this mission.

I also checked it and didn't work for me either. Don't know why as it seems to work in other missions. Anyway no need in this mission but if I'll find the cause I'll fix it of course.
