So I was in my hometown getting all nostalgic and decided to head over to NAS Jax where I lived and spent most of my childhood. Before that I was at Patricks AFB but NAS Jax has always been a favorite. The History / Memory park thing they have is brillaint except for the missing A-6 & EA-6 but I don't remember having any squadrons there with those but there was still plenty to see.

One of my dreams as a kid was to get up close to an F-14 and it happened. When they retired it I had hoped that NAS Jax would have one and thankfully they did. I have a few other pics of some Sea Hawks taxing / preparing for takeoff, F-18's getting painted and a few C-130's. Thanks to you Russians the P-3 Orions were all over the place but I am not complaining :pilotfly:We passed a few on the way that were running traffic patterns and patrolling the coast and it was a cool site. Also my apartment was buzzed by an SH-60 a few days ago and I have seen at least five flying around. I plan on going down to Patricks AFB and once I get back up north over to Fort Campbell for the slicks. I heard that there is a USAF Mesuem up in Columbus so I definitely need to go there. Now All I need to do is get close to a MiG-29 or Ka-50 :megalol:
