Saxman Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Especially a late 1A with the paddle prop. It'd be more of a pure dogfighter than the 1D by carrying less ordnance, but being faster (no knuckle pylons) and a bit more nimble (the 1D had a heavier empty weight). Also, an option for a land-based Corsair with the wing fold mechanism and arrestor hook removed to shave off extra weight. It could be differentiated as an "FG-1A" or "FG-1D," since most of the Goodyear Corsairs were denavalized. 4
Saxman Posted July 8 Author Posted July 8 So I made an interesting discovery yesterday. I was poking around through the luas to possibly mod the 1D to create a 1A, and much to my surprise I found this reference in the damage tables: The left and right wing tanks are already defined in the damage table, but are commented out. I haven't dug into it yet to see if the tanks are established anywhere else, but it makes me wonder if M3 is already planning to add additional variants beyond the Corsair Mk.IV. 1
