sea2sky Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) From my personal experience I figured that cockpits are great to look at them from a distance, take photos, show to friends etc... but if you want a great immersive experience - just save money for the best VR/rig combo, and keep the cockpit hardware to the minimum: a comfy chair, hotas, some center console controls like a MFD + a set of switches - at least you can see that though a nose gap in your VR mask, and can be universal enough to fly different aircraft. Also, I find that using VR cursor to click switches etc is less immersion killing than actually blind clicking physical controls by hands. Using of VR cursor once you get used to it becomes a true Hands On Throttle And Stick ) Edited July 8 by sea2sky 1 i5-9600K@4.8GHz ★ 32Gb DDR4 ★ rtx5070ti ★ Quest Pro ★ Warthog on Virpil base
Panzuur Posted Wednesday at 10:17 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:17 PM I have no issues in VR finding controls, cockpit is 1:1 and everything is located correctly, you look at a switch in VR , reach out and its there, sure you don't see your arm or hand in VR, that really never broke immersion for me. After a bit you really don't think about it, it just works. 3
