DCS APACHE AGM 114-L Lock on problems

I'm playing the MAD campaign, mission sweltering heat and when I use the AGM 114L as the CPG the missile keeps locking onto a tree. I'm 7.5 km away and using the TADS as the acqusition source. I'm having no issues image tracking the target (BMP), lasering, and the target is standing still but it keeps hitting the same tree over and over again.

Have you set the laser to LAST in the weapons page?

yes, I think it might just be that mission that is bugged. In every other newer campaign the Limas work fin, or maybe it's just a perfect set of coincidences that cause it to lock onto the same tree. Speaking of laser, does your laser not work if you start a mission cold/dark in the ah64 with the newest update?
