Need WWII bombers to fire back but not evade fighters

I am trying to set up a mission where an A-20 will fly its track without deviation but will still fire back at enemy fighters if approached. Reaction to threat: Passive Defence, results in the A-20 maneuvering to evade fighters. Setting this to no reaction results in the bomber not firing at enemy fighters (did this change at some point?) What settings should I use to get the bomber to fly its flight path as long as it is able but still use its turret guns to defend itself?
