I can fly the F-4 or any other aircraft perfectly fine in singleplayer and multiplayer on my own.
But as soon as my buddy joins my crew, I cannot open the Jester UI or the grease pencil. Opening them causes immense lags - like a frame every 10 seconds or more - and eventually my game crashes.

I'm also experiencing some occasional mild lags while flying which I'm certain are also depending on another player being WSO or not.

Is this a hardware problem on my end or....?

My specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
RTX 4060 Ti
48 GB RAM

For some reason I only have one log file which is of my last flight in singleplayer - after today's multiplayer flights.
In that log it says "Out of memory in ed_malloc for 436694070960 bytes." which is an error I've been having for some time now but it hasn't caused any issues after fixing my pagefile. Is that the thing causing issues now as well?

Does it get better if you, just for testing, heavily tune down your DCS settings?
Like, set it to low quality, low visibility and similar.

May I ask, what is your ping towards your flight partner roughly?

When it happens and you open your task manager, is there anything that looks like being a bottleneck? For example your RAM or CPU being at 100%?

Perhaps you have been playing so close to the max that the overhead of multicrew went beyond the limit and now you are running into a bottleneck.

No, I don't notice anything bottlenecking. Sitting on the ground with my friend as WSO, my CPU and RAM were both in total at around 60% and my GPU at 30%. DCS was using 40-50% of my CPU and 3 GB of my RAM.

Today it was more playable and I could actually use the Jester UI with some lag. Tuning down my graphics settings to low didn't change anything noticable.

My ping to him is roughly 60 ms

Is only the HB UI lagging but the rest of DCS works as usual and without lag?

You might be running into this rare issue that we had before launch, causing the delay of the release. Which was then fixed for all testers.

Mh, odd stuff.

Well, I've also had some slight lags during flight without using the UI or doing anything which seem to also be dependant on multicrew. But apart from that, it's just the HB UI
