Tail hook tears off during landing.

I have landed several times within parameters, approach speed 90kts and 3 pt. attitude, and the tail hook has torn off. I then take off again without repairing the hook and with the cockpit tailhook lever in the lowered position  have landed normally as if the tailhook was attached and functioning.

Is this a bug?
