gillouf1 Posted August 19 Posted August 19 (edited) Hello, I have a problem with "cold and dark" start in cold weather : I have the alarm C.AERO during the INS alignment. It happens only in cold weather (-10°C)... Any solution to turn it off ? Is it a bug ? Or it's because the Mirage can't operate in very cold climate ? Thk. @+ C.AERO.trk Edited August 19 by gillouf1
Bremspropeller Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I've had that before as well. Make sure you're putting the Anemo-switch on, as soon as you're started up, so it can start removing the ice. Seems like DCS wants to ice up your probes on startup really quick or it doesn't account for your probes being guarded. I have taken off with unreliable airspeed (same message) and the probe heater burned through the ice during climb. We were flying with a Mirage 2000 in the formation and he crashed on take-off, most probably because his probe was iced up as well and hence his FBW got all confused... So ein Feuerball, JUNGE!
gillouf1 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Sadly, it changes nothing : I put ANEMO ON as soon as the ground power is ON, but during INS alignment ANEMO lights ON with the altimeter flagged... No problem with hot start... @+ C.AERO Caucasus.trk
