REL Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 (edited) Hey Guys I’ve read about Creative Alchemy and Realtek 3D Sound Back Beta 0.1 as a Vista sound issue solution. The problem is that I have built-in sound card that uses IDT High Definition Audio technology. Are those two solutions (Alchemy or 3D Sound Back Beta 0.1) can help me to solve the sound issue on vista? Is there another solution that I don’t know about??? It is also important to mansion that I own: · Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Ultimate 32-bit · Intel® Desktop Board D975XBX2 with Intel® 975X Express Chipset. · DCS Black Shark Thanks Edited August 17, 2009 by REL
Panzertard Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I'm not sure what "issue" you reffering to. Any references? :) The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
REL Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Correct me if I’m wrong but I understood that Creative Alchemy and Realtek 3D Sound Back Beta 0.1 may correct the uneven sound volume … For example the loud engines sound when the second engine spools up while the cockpit door is closed.

I think you're reffering to one of the "issues not solved yet" with DCS. The loud engine noise is still there. It's corrected when opening and closing the door again, right? Who knows, it may get fixed in another patch or the next DCS major release - I'm not able to say actually :) Edited August 17, 2009 by Panzertard The mind is like a parachute. =SCoRPioN= Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Had the same issue on Win7 with an older SB Audigy Advanced HD model SB0160 with gameport. I got the gameport to work in 7 :) The APU made a loud noise when starting and also did the blades, the air waves extremely loud and annoying, like whistling when starting. Opening the cockpit door and closing helps, but if come back from external view or any other view into F1, the sound of the APU and/or engines becomes extremely annoying, but only up until take off. Had to manually force an older Vista driver into Win7. Had to disable 3D effect and EAX.
