rocket302 Posted Friday at 03:31 AM Posted Friday at 03:31 AM hello, i am trying to capture any cockpit button press in a .lua script and then make a sound play. can this be done with dcs-bios or something else. Here is what i am really trying to do. i play VR so i like the VR hands but they have no haptic feedback. i am trying to detect a button pressed then send a sound to a bluetooth audio module which then vibrates. this gives me instant feedback that the button really was pressed and immersion is much better. sorry controllers do viberate, but your stuck with weird fingers and hand offsets. i have not used dcs-bios and am trying to research it to see if its a option. thanks
Nightdare Posted Friday at 11:49 AM Posted Friday at 11:49 AM Not really your answer, but I believe the volume of switches can be increased separately from all other audio? The audio itself doesn't seem to be so easily filtered out though Intel I5 13600k / AsRock Z790 Steel Legend / MSI 4080s 16G Gaming X Slim / Kingston Fury DDR5 5600 64Gb / Adata 960 Max / HP Reverb G2 v2 Rhino FFB / Virpil MT50 Mongoost T50 Throttle, T50cm Grip, VFX Grip, ACE Rudder / WinWing Orion2 Navy, UFC&HUD, PTO2, 2x MFD1, PFP7 / Logitech Flight Panel / VKB SEM V / 2x DIY Bodnar Button Panels
No1sonuk Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago DCS-BIOS can do it, but I think it would be on an individual switch/button basis. i.e. you'd need to program every button/switch in every aircraft individually. That's A LOT of buttons!
