How to get AI Helos to shoot Illumination rockets? I tried and could not. I want them to shoot them in multiplayer so that live pilots can work the weapons killing enemy targets lit by the rockets at night.

Thanx, I am stil trying to figure out how to make the AI helos fire them more often and follow the waypoints, etc...though I am able to send them to the target area and fire the illumination rockets, they still

 

example, they fire a couple illumination rockets, fly a little bit, in the wrong direction, come back a few minutes later, do not follow directions as well as I would like..

 

 

I would ike to have them fire the rockets maybe 1x every minute, or have several helos do this. And have them trade off the timing so the target area stays lit longer. But instead, they wait too long to fire the next volley. I am working on trying ot get them setup better, but it's a long and slow process shushing out how to make AI aircraft follow directions..

How do you configure the targetzone?

I have no 1.0.1 so I only can tell my experience with AFAC-aircrafts and there illumination bombs.

Maybe it will work better if you add two targetzone on one waypoint and configure "point" as option.

In the case of the aircrafts in 1.00 they will fly over the target and drop one bomb.... turn and drop the next bomb over the targetarea.

Maybe it is the same for helicopters. Try it. ;)

here is a copy of the mission:

 

2 versions:

 

Black Shark MP Night Missions

2 versions, but slight differences..

 

8 available Helos multiplayer for BS night mission. The players helos are set default with both unguided rockets and Vikr's.

All ai helos have illumination rockets only.

 

1) 1st version 4 ai Wingmen with illumination flares.

The ai Helos go out to the target area and send the rockets up to light up the target area.

 

2) 2nd version 4 (2 x2) ai Wingmen with illumination flares.

The ai Helos go out to the target area and send the rockets up to light up the target area.

 

You can also change your loadout from 2 pods of unguided rockets and 2 sets of Vikr's to anything you like.

ai helos are set with illumination rockets only.

 

Target area with soldiers, enemy vehicles (static only), and buildings arw just accross the river and it's closest point to the airbase.

 

Do with the missions as you like and share!
