bephanten Posted September 14 Posted September 14 this happened twice in a row in this mission. hot start on ground, short flight in freezing temperature, engine degrade and subsequent damage beyond repair and prop seizure. engine_degraded.trk
Solution JUDAS 1-1 Arnold Rimmer Posted September 15 Solution Posted September 15 I haven't checked your trackfile, but I suspect you have your radiator flaps fully open (hot starts begin with them in this position), so as you fly your engine quickly cools below minimum operating temperature, gets damaged and seizes. This ties in with you saying the flight was in freezing conditions. The Anton is extremely difficult to overheat, so suggest you fully close the radiator flaps (detailed in part 7 of Chucks guide here: https://chucksguides.com/aircraft/dcs/fw190-a8/ ). I only ever open them on hot maps, and then only by one turn of the handle. Hope this helps and hope you're enjoying the Anton - it's my favourite DCS warbird 2 2
