mArTiNkOpAc Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I have had my Viper TQS mission pack for about half a year and I am very happy with it. However one minor detail that slightly bothers me is that the throttle has a small amount of play in it's range of travel. This happens when releasing the throttle, the grip tends to get dragged down in the direction of the gravity. It's not that big of a problem but it still changes the input by couple of values. Incrasing the friction using the allen key doesn't help. I want to ask if this a thing with all throttles or is it just me having something loose? Thanks for any tips. 20250914_182722.mp4
db349 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Hello, I have the exact same issue with my throttle. Just 1-2mm of play but enough to be bothersome... I recently sent the unit back to TM after explaining the problem, they replaced the throttle axis, but when I received the unit back the issue was still there! When I contacted support again, I got following message : "...our technicians changed the handle axis and retightened the screws. They did specify that a very small play can still appear in the screw to modify the hardness of the handle movement, but it should be negligible..." So I suppose it's some kind of core design issue, it's also more apparent the more you increase the throttle friction. A friend of mine hasn't yet noticed this issue but his throttle friction is quite low. A bit disappointing for a product coming from TM, especially considering the competing Winwing Viper Throttle has no play at all.
