Qcumber Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Does anyone have any experience with Honeycomb Charlie rudder pedals? I can get them from Amazon for £250. I can also get Thrustmaster TPR for £430. Unfortunately I don't have easy access to Virpil or Winwing so these are not options for me. I know what I want to get but is the extra £180 worth it? PC specs: 9800x3d - rtx5080 FE - 64GB RAM 6000MHz - 2Tb NVME - (for posts before March 2025: 5800x3d - rtx 4070) - VR headsets Quest Pro (Jan 2024-present; Pico 4 March 2023 - March 2024; Rift s June 2020- present). I'd say it depends on how you like the design and the "function" of the pedals. Have a look at images, and then pay attention to the design of how they work differently. I'm sure you'd be happy with the Charlies while I do know there exists 3rd party damper kits and force feedback kits for the TMs you might want in tbe future. I can highly recommend dampers on pedals from the get go. I'm not sure that's possible with the Charlies.Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
scommander2 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago IMHO: TPR is a very solid build, heavy and big, and I have it for few years without an issue. Yes, it is costly. By reviewing Honeycomb Charlie website, I am kind like it, and it is very compact. The handle for the surface of floor has more options than TPR. 1 Spoiler Dell XPS 9730, i9-13900H, DDR5 64GB, Discrete GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, 1+2TB M.2 SSD | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + TPR | TKIR5/TrackClipPro | Total Controls Multi-Function Button Box | Dell 32 4K UHD Gaming Monitor G3223Q | Win 11 Pro

I've had a look at reviews and the Charlie is very heavy. About 1kg heavier than the TPR. It is also quite big (45cm x 45cm) and has carpet grips so good for keeping in place without a frame. As it's from Amazon I might try the Charlie and if it's not for me get the TPR instead. 1 PC specs: 9800x3d - rtx5080 FE - 64GB RAM 6000MHz - 2Tb NVME - (for posts before March 2025: 5800x3d - rtx 4070) - VR headsets Quest Pro (Jan 2024-present; Pico 4 March 2023 - March 2024; Rift s June 2020- present).
