Pimax Super shutdown

Second time for me this, Flying around in the superb  UH60L  update, online with a friend on a mission.

Freeze followed by Goggles shutdown to black screen and unrecoverable. 2 Hours flying time

First time it was a online mission, and did exactly the same after a few hours.

Anyone Else or any ideas please?

In IL2, I've had occasional occurrences of the unit going black screen. At first I thought I was accidentally fingering the power button but it wasn't that. It's happened both in-game and while on the PP home screen.

No shut downs on my side… Keep fingers crossed it stays that way!

Is Pimax Play showing that the headset is disconnected? Do you recall the color of the light near the power button?

What firmware on your Super? And what Pimax Play version?

1.42.1 PP (latest version) and the latest firmware, which comes with 1.42.1 (being in office, not nowing the firmware number)

Latest Version Pimax play and up to date on all firmware  142.1. 117  here

@Calvin.Pimax The Goggles went black , took them off to see the screen frozen and blurred on the monitor then DCS CTD'd.....Didnt notice the  light to be fair ...sorry

Are you guys using latest NVidia drivers? Have read about troubles and therefore did not update from the penultimate one

Version 581.29  here.  Wed Sept 10 Release

Try rolling back to the version before, I haven´t made the last update on Sept 10th

My nVidia driver is from before the Summer I think..

Currently  on 580.97 a further two blackouts on the goggles online server on my own.... will try a further rollback on Nvidia driver.

Total 5 blackous  now @Calvin.Pimax

That is disturbing to hear… how long time does it usually take before it happens? Maybe you already have answered this, but is it only in DCS?

I only have dcs in VR

No set time really. One was with in 20 minutes online, others 2 hours 3 hours 

servers range from a friend  50 miles away to US server for helos

Could you please share your Pimax Play, DCS, and Nvidia Control Panel settings with me?
I’ll have the team replicate your configuration and test whether the headset experiences blackouts during a session.

Also, before this issue started, did you perform any updates (driver, client, or other software)?

This is a longshot but is your GPU overclocked and are you using DLSS? For the last few updates (going back since DLSS 4 was released) there has been some instability with DLSS and manual overclocks.

Only other update was the Nvidia GPU driver...which Ive now rolled back.
I will try more online flying today and report back

If setting DCS priority to high is overclocking then yes I do that for most flights... thankyou very interesting!!! I will try normal today

Noted. It could be a driver issue, but we need to run tests before saying for sure
