So, I have just received the Top Gun MIP setup and have it all plugged in.  When I start DCS it grinds my PC almost to a halt.  I've tried all the fixes I could find on here, reddit, YouTube, discord, etc. with no luck.  I've moved usb plugs around, I have changed screen locations, winwing.interval .lua change, and I have reinstalled all drivers that I can think of but no luck.  I am completely stumped and honestly am here as a last resort.  I have run multimonitor before with no issues.

PC Specs:

-NVidia RTX ROG 4080 OC 16GB

-Odyssey G9 (5120x1440)

-Ryzen 7 5800X3D

-64GB DDR4 RAM

-Dark Hero VIII Motherboard

-ROG 1000w PSU

-All Samsung EVO m.2’s

Any differences with simapppro active or off? Winwing removed from export.lua?

You have updated all the drivers you can think of; have you also updated DisplayLink drivers, for those USB displays. They are easilly missed, Windows even argued they were latest version... -Not even close... Updating those did help me.

I’ve tried that as well. I even did a repair/cleanup of dcs and double checked the luas were clear. I’m stumped.

Did you try using a quality powered (12V) USB hub to connect the MIP through it?

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

I currently have it in 12v/40W Acasis 10port hub from Amazon. I did order a startech 12v/60w 7port that will be here today. I also would plug some into the port and one into my mobo with no luck as well.

What happens when you try just the screens / just the UFC / just the MFD button units? It would be weird if each caused equal slowdowns independently

It works flawlessly with only the UFC/HUD/MFD’s running. Once the MIP’s are included it grinds to a halt. Outside of the game there’s no noticeable slowdown of my pc, no weird spikes in power consumption or anything. But once it’s at the DCS main screen it all goes to hell.

edit: I’ll also add that I’ve ran different variations of multiscreen in the past. From large to small screens with no issues. Granted those were either HDMI or DP.

So its just the screens, good to know! Yeah best guess is its a weird USB thing.

No change if you just plug one in and use a different monitors.cfg file to place it (you can do this by hand / via helios or however you configured screens in the past, independently of simapppro despite its complaining)

Could be something related to the motherboard and USB ports, I see people had some issues with it. Did you check if there's newer firmware available?

I'm running mine on a B550 mainboard (still on W10), don't remember the power available for the USB hub, I got some smaller one and a bunch of short USB cables and I taped in on the MT desktop mount so I only need to plug a single USB cable and the power supply to it when I mount it. Connecting like 10 cables each time was killing me.

I did try Helios but had the same issues.

I have the powered hub plugged into one of the higher speed usb ports. There’s still about four usb ports available on the motherboard. I’ve tried moving plugs all around as well with no luck. Board firmware is current. I also went through and individually checked each usb device and port for any updates and everything was current.

Any other high-power USB things running, like an HD webcam for headtracking, logitech mouse software polling at 10 triillion ticks per second?

Are all the USBs set to "high-performance/never sleep" through the control panel and the device driver panel? (not sure of exact terms)

The only other peripherals are a TM stick, TM Warthog throttle, TM TPR pedals, TrackIR, Razer basilisk mouse (razer software is removed) and some cheap old keyboard that I’ve had for years. All USBs are set to high performance/never sleep.

Well. Just got the startech usb hub hooked up and still a no-go. Also my FPS counter will go from 0 to 103 to 4 then back to 0.

I did run capframex and gathered some data.  I have no idea what any of it means, or if it even helps to show a specific issue, but here it is.  Also note that the in game music is smooth, the loading bar is smooth as well as the text above it when loading.
