RubberDogSh1tOutOfHKG Posted Wednesday at 10:22 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:22 AM I made a CAP Mission, and unlike the few other A-G Missions I've made the last few days I do not get any data from AWACS or Wingman. AWACS is not more than 200NM from Bandits, and AWACS will give me Bogey Dope and Picture via Voice. On correct Frequency. I do not get any HSD Position Report from my Wingman. But can still hear him on voice. I start up the bird the same way as before. Any suggestions on what might be the issue?

Hmmmm Make sure you go to the DLNK page on the DED and verify it says FINE and not COARSE. If it does turn it off then back on by pressing MSEL on the first setting. Also, if there is terrain between the bandits and the AWACS (due to them flying low) they probably won't show up. Also, if you can post a track so we can see exactly what is happenining that would be great. Solution RubberDogSh1tOutOfHKG Posted Wednesday at 08:54 PM Author Solution Posted Wednesday at 08:54 PM I think I found the solution. GPS signal was too weak to penetrate the Hangar, if I waited outside until I got the signal before switching the MIDS on it worked! First time to have experienced that 1

First time to have experienced that Yeah, this can happen too if you're under a roof.

Under any type of hardened shelter will prevent GPS signal from being captured. Best practice is to taxi out and wait. Easy way to know if you have GPS signal is to go to the TIME (6) page and you should see GPS on the top line next to SYSTEM. If you dont see GPS then you dont have the signal captured from the satellite. 2 My PC: GPU-AMD 6800XT OC / CPU- AMD RYZEN 5800X OC / 32 GB RAM 3200Mhz / 1TB SSD / 2TB HDD / 500GB M.2 / Monitor: 34" Ultrawide Samsung 1000R Curve / WinWing F16EX HOTAS / TM Cougar MFDs / TM TPR Rudder Pedals / TrackIR5 / ICP
