Hi.   I've tried this Misson 5 times and have hit a few problems.

1. 6 missiles for 3 outposts? Flight lead doesn't help out apart from the boats.   Am I supposed to cross the river and use guns / rockets? I've been told to stay 1 mile away from river.

2. Flight lead stays circling the takeoff base preventing the mission from progressing.   This has happened twice.

5. Re-arming ends mission.   I land.  Re-arm, and am told to shut down engines.

I'd like to proceed, but have already had to skip the previous Misson due to the destroyer landing nets not working. Skipping 2 missions seems pointless.

Good afternoon!
I'll try to explain it to you point by point.

1. You can fly to the river, closer to the outposts. Just be prepared for Triple-A and MANPADS. Your skill is everything in this situation.

There are no restrictions in the campaign. The mission is only failed if you get shot down. In Mission 2, if you damage your aircraft.

2. Read the Author's Note on Completing Missions very carefully. It's on the DCS campaign page and in the documentation: DCS World OpenBeta Mods Campaigns AH-64D Outpost Doc.

It contains the following lines: -In most missions, you will be in the role of a wingman. Your flight lead will enter a holding orbit and wait for you after takeoff over WP1 or before returning to base. If you hear the command from your flight lead — 'Rejoin,' proceed with closing in. To ensure he continues on the route, keep within 200-300 feet.

And I'd like to add, you don't need to keep within 200-300 feet for the entire mission. This is simply to ensure the leader continues the route. All Stone Sky campaigns are built on this scheme. If you're a wingman, your leader is waiting for you in orbit, join him, and he'll continue.

5. In this campaign, there's no option for RTB or re-arming and continue the task. Such missions existed in the Outpost Mi-24, but not in the Ah-64.

2 missions. Yes, there was an issue with Arleigh Burke, due to the lack of a supercarrier. But today, a trigger scheme has been devised that works. And landing nets are lowered when you approach within 1 nautical mile of the destroyer. Technically, it appears that the AI behind you activates, requests a landing, and the landing nets are lowered.
This problem arose a few months ago, after the latest DCS update.
By the way, you can still press space to reject this landing. This option appears after radioing with the USS Sampson and clearing the landing. Spacebar - REJECT LANDING. You'll be sent to the next task. Skipping 2 missions are optional.

Thanks for the reply.

I will use guns closer to river next time and stick closer to flight lead to make sure his triggers work.

By the way, AH64-D F10 menu definitely has options to RTB to re-arm or MAYDAY.
