Hi all,

I recently tried starting the Caucasus campaign for the Mirage 2000 (the one included in the module), and I ran into a mission-breaking startup problem in the first mission, which I believe is a bug. When I do the startup, following the same procedure that perfectly works in other missions, several warning lights switch on for some reason (BECSS, MAN, DOM, U.S. EL).

I know they are advisories/warnings related to the flight control and hydraulics system. I checked the mission editor and there is no scheduled failure. I  found a Reddit post saying you need to do multiple wipeouts to remove air bubbles etc. but it does not solve it. Most importantly, I noticed that they automatically switch on after about 1:45 minutes since the mission begins. I tried multiple times, changing the procedure a bit to test various possible causes, but I noticed that even if I only turn on the main battery (so I can monitor the warning lights panel) without touching anything else, these lights activate after 1:45 minutes. This is why I believe it is a bug.

This is really annoying, as I like the plane and I would like to play the campaign, which is quite good from what I read. So does anyone know a solution, or know where to find fixed mission files to download? I tried looking by myself, but without success. And yes, I am aware that the module is practically no longer supported due to the Razbam dispute, but maybe someone can help?

Also, apologies if this has already been asked or if it is not the proper section, I am new here and I have limited time to dedicate to this, so I thought it would be easier to just ask.

Thanks!

As far as I know, the only workaround is using the auto start which isn't ideal, but at least it works.

EDIT: Pressing FBW Reset actually clears the errors and allows you to start from cold and dark without other issues.

Hey, sorry I've seen your response only now, but first of all many thanks for replying!

OK, I'll give a try with FBW Reset, and if that doesn't work I'll try with auto start. Speaking of which, how do you use it? I know it's probably a banal question, but I'm a bit of a hardcore person so I never used it and I don't know where to find it 😅

Just bind a button for Start procedure and press it if FBW Reset doesn't work. I'm on M05 and the reset has worked in every mission, albeit only after trying it several times. I usually wait until my cold and dark startup procedure is finished.

So, I tried it... and it works! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I did M1 yesterday and it went fine, same with M2 today. I wonder what causes the problem (as apparently it affects the entire campaign and wasn't an issue when it was released) but what matters is that we found a solution.

I'll try M3 soon, first I've to redo M2 because the whole thing crashed when I pressed the quit button so I lost the progress (yes, I know you can skip missions but that's not fun, is it?) but hopefully it was just a random crash.

Thanks again!!!
