Darcaem Posted October 27 Posted October 27 I know this is quite subjective and might be a stupid question, but, what performance can we expect? Would it be in the same level as the CH47F for example? Would we have 4k textures, or the option to used reduced textures as with the F4U? I expect, since this is a larger aircraft with different stations, the manual feature, and other awesome stuff, to be more demanding than the CH47F, wouldn't it? I will 100% buy it, but right know I'm holding myself since I'm afraid I would not be able to enjoy it in VR 1
The Gryphon Posted November 15 Posted November 15 In my experience it is all down to VR settings. Im running stable 60 FPS in VR with F4 Phantom and CH-47F playing on Cold War Germany map. And I have a budget PC i5 RTX 3080 32G Ram. The amount of performence you can get with graphical adjustments is pure magic to be honest. 1
Darcaem Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 Totally, 75% tweaking, 25% flying That's why I would love to read some "comparison feedback", I use the CH47F as a reference, as that's the one taking my system to the limit with my settings. I would love to know if the C130 would be more demanding (vram-wise specially) or at the same level, maybe from any tester or some of the youtubers that have being able to try it. But I totally understand we cannot really test its performance until the final build is out, and probably there would be some improvements after release
tribundf Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Matt, the creator of the C130, flies in VR and has said that he has made sure to make it as smooth as possible. Believe it’s only really rendering what’s visible so your vram doesn’t get flooded all the time. I feel very confident that it will be smooth as butter in VR 6
Solution Someone Posted November 18 Solution Posted November 18 As with all things, it depends on your machine. If you have a good machine, you will get good performance. If you have an RTX 2070, and attempt to run high settings in VR, this will go poorly. Both for the C130, and everything else. Its a large plane, which means there are many textures, so vram is the biggest factor. Testers report performance to be in line with other recent modules, such as the ch-47 or f4. 4 5
