So why wouldn't you be able to see in? No idea if he's right, but a couple of misunderstandings with your reply. NVGs don't do IR detection, they amplify visible light. The IR sensor isn't located within the cockpit so that logic fails for it as well.

So why wouldn't you be able to see in? Im talking about thermal imaging, glass block thermal imaging so if you are using a FLIR you can not see any heat source on the other side of a glass panel 1
