AndyJWest Posted November 10 Posted November 10 A 'mediterranean map with Greece Turkey Libya Algeria' would be absolutely huge, with an impractical file size (and cost, if it had much in the way of detail), and would run into severe distortion problems due to DCS's current 'flat Earth' mapping. 1
Dragon1-1 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Libya alone is bigger than the entire South Atlantic map. Granted, most of it is quite empty, but even the coastline is very long. If that's ever to be a thing, spherical Earth is a must. 1
jaguara5 Posted November 13 Posted November 13 (edited) Aegean map with part only of Greece / Turkey mainland would be fantastic. Scenic scenery, with all the small islands, a lot of water so easy to develop, fits many WWII scenarios and it's a ''hot theater'' in real life since the 70's. + It fits historically many dcs modules (F-16, M2000, F1, F-4, Apache, Chinook and the upcoming A-7 and F-104 and later Rafale / EF). An expansion to the south covering part of the north Libyan border would be the next logical step, with all the historic scenarios that are related to that. There was a fantastic atempt some time ago to include exactly that area (no mainland, only the water part with the islands), seems to be abandoned. Edited November 13 by jaguara5
