short cut not working

hi i have downloaded the game and it wouldnt load i uninstalled it and when i click on either the blue dcs or green dcs shortcut nothing happens.the game is loaded on my c drive this has been going on for the past week .i titally cleaned my pc to factory reset before reinstalling .at my wits end trying to get back in the game ..any help to resolve this appreciated thanks

Go into Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin and run DCS.exe

If it fails even after using the DCS.exe file directly then drop your C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log file here (may just be a text document named "dcs" if your Windows is hiding file extensions).

hi guts i dont even have dcs showing in any folder ? should i uninstall and start again i may just run it through steam opinions please unless any one has team speak to control my pc and see what im missing ?

Aha! Then somehow the installation failed. Try installing again.

The other potential culprit is your Anti-Virus (or Windows Defender if you don't have a 3rd party one) that has blocked/quarantined some ED files.  ESET, Kapersky and McAfee are 3 of the top offenders in this regard.
