This is just an informative brief of some odd issue discovered after a new PC build...

Built a new PC after a catastrophic event with the old one.

Installed Windows 11 pro and everything else, no issues - so it seemed.

I was trying to get SRS working and all it would do was connect to game and nothing else, ONLY if I manually connected...but nothing else. (First two plugs would go green and then disconnect after a minute or so. I could see the number of connections)

Also, the updates would not go in unless I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it.

What I found out after I asked a few flying friends for help, was that my Saved Games folder was installed in the One Drive. (As was all the programs that go into the Saved Games folder. It was NOT installed on the C drive. (Yeah I know right)

This path was easily seen when you update or install SRS. I was apparently oblivious to the correct path. :)

I am saavy with PC's, have a degree in IT, but this was an odd one that I have not experienced before. I just let windows install as it always does, did not pay attention to it (Obviously) and had no clue to the One Drive installation path or why it did it. I thought it installed as it always did before. I even copied it as a shortcut to my desktop like I always did. Again..no clue.

SO with all that said...if SRS is not connecting, make sure you have the Saved Games folder in your root drive and not on the One Drive.
It was an easy fix to move it, (But if someone is helping you work through this, do NOT do it until told too!! LOL)

Once he pointed me in the direction of what the issue was, I was good to go.

Hope this helps someone in the future
