Guest sfoley77 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Hi Sean here, I've bought this simulator a week back and am really enjoying it, I fly helicopters in real life also and this sim is the best I've seen to date. I'm also flying model helis and travel around the world to different competitions. Anyway I've got a quick question regarding the FFB2 joystick and hoping to get some info on a few things. firstly when on a training mission and after hitting esc and taking control after the training mission, my joysticks cyclic is moving freely and does not go back to center by itself, this is the setting I like to fly my chopper with, I dont really like when the joystick is at nuetral and requires force to move it to the end points. is there a setting where I can fly all my missions in the game including my own mission's where my joystick set up is not using force feedback to keep the joystick in neutral position?? 2nd question is. Is it worth updating the 1.0.1 patch as I have no concerns so far and am happy with the gameplay. thanks Sean Foley
Cionara Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Download the patch, there's no reason why you shouldn't. The cyclic moves freely in training because the training missions got their own settings. To fly without force feedback set "forcefeedback = true" to "forcefeedback = false" in the producer.cfg in Eagle Dynamics\KA-50\Config folder. I think it will be hard to trim without automatic centering joystick. Just try it and you'll see. Watercooled Core i7 920 @ 4,3 Ghz @1.36Vcore GTX280- 700/1188 6144 MB DDR3 7-7-7-18 1333Mhz
-Bazong- Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 ... or just set force feedback strength to 0 in options/controls in the games GUI. The patch is worth it because it fixes a bunch of bugs and you'll need it if you want to play newer missions or online.. ps. to above, there's no need to trim without forces on the stick. :smartass:
