leroy1964 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Guys and Gals, I have made a mission from the editor and wanted to keep it basic, just me in the chopper on the ground so as to practice start-up, take off and landing and shut down procedures. Problem is I set my chopper to be on airfield for takeoff and everytime the mission starts it is up flying above the said airfield. I really don't know what to do next as I thought I set all the parameters in editor, why doesn't it save my choices?:helpsmilie: Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
Nate--IRL-- Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Obvious question but...Did you set the first waypoint as Start from Ramp? And are you saving the mission before going to fly it? Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
leroy1964 Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 Hello Obvious question but...Did you set the first waypoint as Start from Ramp? And are you saving the mission before going to fly it? Nate The first thing I have done is after I add me chopper I choose the take of from airfield and yes I do save mission, is start from ramp different from start at airfield? I thought by choosing start at airfield it would have started on the ground, guess not eh, maybe the ramp is the one I need to choose? Thanks, I will go check this out.

Nate Mate, thank you for your help, it now starts on the ground, but the chopper is already up and running, sorry to ask, but do you know how I can set it just to be sitting there prior to cold start?:helpsmilie: I would really appreciate your help with this, (or anyones actually) someone who may have made a few missions (this is my first):book: Cheers
Nate--IRL-- Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 (edited) There are two options for Waypoint 1 - Takeoff from runway, which is engines running and Takeoff from Ramp, which is engines off. Nate 2 sample missions are available here.. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=651221&postcount=4 Edited September 20, 2009 by Nate--IRL-- Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
