Lowboy Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I've spent hours searching but can't find the solutions, please advise: 1. BS won't recognize the wheel on the throttle or wheel button on X52. 2. I select gun, fire gun then gun is deselected....must be reselected again to fire again....feature or issue or me?
Boulund Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 1. BS can't recognize it properly because it is probably set in the SST software (or just drivers if you're not using SST) to act as the mouse wheel. The game believes that it is nothing but your mouse wheel. 2. No idea, anyone else? I've had no problems with this though. Lowboy Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 thank you for trying to help. i actually removed all assignments in SST and tried it 3 times as "unprogrammed" then "fallback" then "button - do nothing" and neither the wheel nor the wheel button are recognized by the DCS mapping screen. then i tried to keep them as default scroll functions then re-assign the scroll function within DCS and still no recognition. as far as the gun select...it is a mystery to me...i will continue to look into this. again, thanks.
Lowboy Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 AGH! i can't BELIEVE it took me literally 2 days to figure this out and then i got it in like 2 seconds after getting home from work tonight.....i fixed BOTH issues.... ...i had been going back and forth using ALT-TAB between SST and DCS control assigments without closing and saving.......once i did this all assignments are recognized. i can't believe i did this....i feel kinda dumb after all the high intensity flight training i've been (trying) to do....jeesh.
Boulund Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 =) Glad to hear it worked out for you in the end!
