I have been away from the community for quite some time now. Wow allot of changes.

I purchased BLACK SHARK and reloaded LOCK ON FLAMING CLIFFS.

I reinstalled my usb CH FIGHTER stick and PRO THROTTLE, along with the most recent CH CONTROL panel.

In BOTH BLACK SHARK and LOFC the roll control of the FIGHTER STICK does not work properly. When I try to roll in either, the roll rate is slow, but worse yet very jerky, additionally I can not even roll a fighter aircraft inverted, IT IS AS IF THERE IS AN ARTIFICIAL STOP. It is bizarre behavior in both sims.

I then loaded IL2 to see how the stick response was, and it works beautifully.

The stick and throttle calibrate normally in CH control pannel and test normally in the LOFC test applet.

ANY IDEAS,

thanx,

You may already have done this, but have you tried looking at the CH test screen with your Lock ON profile loaded? Is the movement in the test screen normal?

If you have 2 monitors throw the CH test screen up on the second monitor while in game in Lock On and see what behaviour there is in the test screen. If you don't have a second monitor set the resolution to 800x600 in Lock On and set it to window mode so you can see the CH test screen at the same time.

This will allow you to determine if the problem is happening to your CH Stick while you're in game. Just an idea anyway.

Well, I found part of the problem. I noticed in LOFC that when I was trying to roll the frame rate would stutter significantly. I went in and turned off SLI on the video cards and it fixed the problem with the roll rate stuttering.

SLI off, however did not fix the roll issue with BS, I am still perplexed with this one.

Good find. Yes, SLI and LO/DCS don't mix as they are not supported. Maybe you can post a track file (in-game recording, saved file) of your problem in DCS.

Also handy are the key commands for your FPS in game. To see a key command list look in ...DCS/Docs for a pdf. If your FPS are under 10-15FPS, then you will have poor FPS and may have poor control input.

Be sure to watch your hard drive access light on your PC. If you see it blinking all the time, then you may have stutter as the hard dive is accessed. If this is the case you may have too low an amount of RAM and/or a slow, older hard drive.

Ok, found the key commands, holly cow, 9 pages for "sim mode". My version says, "PAUSE-RCTRL"

That does not seem to be working. Perhaps I am not understanding. I have pressed them together, seperately. Maybe I am missing something basic?

Pretty new upgrade on the system, 6gigs ram, with a 2.6 I7, plenty of video capability. Its a FALCON system so very dependable and fast.

When I disconnected the controllers, and just used the arrow keys to fly the chopper, it flew flawlessly. This is just not making sense.

"PAUSE-RCTRL" means to press right control plus the pause/break key at the same time. Perhaps you are using left control?

Sounds like your system has got lots of muscle. Were you able to do the first suggestion I had with BS? Can you look at what your controls are doing while flying the sim?
