nemises Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Hiya Huggie, welcome mate :) Is it a lamps test you are trying to do (by pushing and holding the lamps test button), or do you want the Ekran to run it's self test? The Ekran self test is run when you first turn on the Ekran (Ekray/Hyd switch at rear right)...the Master Caution and Gearbox caution lights will flash...you wold then press the Master Caution light twice, and the Ekran should then enter a brief self-test. Or is it some other more advanced test that I'm not sure of...what startup list are you using? You could also check out Miguez's amazing startup video tutorial, which seems to cover just about every advanced pre-startup check there is! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=42223

nemises Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Hi Huggie, Thats normal! You need to continue to hold down the left mouse button once you have pressed the Lamps Test button....ie. click on the lamps test button and HOLD the left mouse button whilst scanning around in the cockpit to check lamps....once you take your finger off the left mouse button, it will end the lamps test. The alarm you are hearing is the "Low Rotor RPM" warning, which is triggered as part of the lamps test....if it is annoying, you can turn off the "intercom" radio power before you start the the lamps test (don't forget to turn it back on afterward though!). I wouldnt worry about the "failure queue memory" warning on the ekran at this stage, as none of the other avionics are powered on yet. Good luck!
huggie Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) Does anyone know what this means mean ? Sorry I pissed off the administrator about not doing a re-thread but unfortuanly a newbie but did not get complete answer, So what does it mean when you get error '' failure Queue Memory'' on ekron and when i repeatly push wl/av test button but does not stay on and goes off no matter how many times i push it . Please forget i will not labour it anymore !! thanks brow Edited October 23, 2009 by huggie
EtherealN Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 (edited) The testing will stop when you release the button. That is how it works and how it is intended to work. What you do is you press it and HOLD it pressed. Do not just "click" it, click-and-hold. Then look around your cockpit to verify that all indicators are operating as intended and do not release until you are satisfied. Also, you get a "failure Queue Memory" that is most likely caused by the other avionics not being online - or just part of the test to make sure it can display those messages. ;) It is nothing to worry about. Indeed, most likely you are not having any problem in your helicopter. It appears to be working entirely correct.
