Hi guy's:

Would like to know is there is a special way to make the green pilots for the Ah-64A and D , into a more friendly looking pilot. I know it can be done with a .lom remake. Just thought I would throw this out there as someone may have stumbled on a file that can be changed and a more realistic pilot shown. cheers.:noexpression:

Would be a nice thing, for sure. LOFC helicopters aren't a really nice sight...

Now a related question: can we put DCS models in Lock On (to ease the wait until 2.0)? I mean, is it possible to replace, without modifying anything, the old and ugly helis for the new detailed ones (maybe just inserting .LOM files, and the related .skins ones in Lock On folder)?

With Flaming Cliffs 2.0 we will get the new apache from dcs instead i recon, so why not wait until then?

Intel Core i7-8700 3,20GHz - EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 - 32Gb Ram - DCS on 500 GB SSD - Windows 10 - Thrusmaster Warthog - Thrustmaster TPR pedals - Track Ir 5 - Samsung Odyssey+

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Flaming Cliffs 2.0, DCS black shark with the A10. Or DCS black shark with an A10 module that requires DCS black shark. If this is true how do we get any new AI helos for LOFC? If we can will they be compatible with LOFC? Or is the Appache in and the A10 out for DCS next module.

Shaggy, we are looking for better looking AI helos for LOFC or at least me. I would assume others would also like to see some as well. Just thought that we might be able to get a better looking pilot without having to build a completely new .lom for them.

There are some .lom files out for some of the AI helos with pilots, looks great. Tomcatz's lockon4ever has some nice helo changes. Would be nice to get them all or at least get rid of that green pilot without having to build a new .lom as tomcatz did. Just a thought that there might be someone who found a file that would overwrite that green pilot without a new .lom.

Sorry Shaggy, Just read the thread from Ed on FC 2.0. This sounds great. I can see now why you made your remark. I guess waiting for a while would not hurt. Some may not purchase 2.0, don't know why they wouldn't but just in case changing that green pilot would still be nice.

No, that's completely incorrect. Flaming Cliffs 2.0 is an update to LO:FC, and is an entirely separate product from the DCS series. Have you read the FC2.0 announcement?

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=47143

This will be an upgrade to the unofficial Lock On: Flaming Cliffs add-on. Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 will feature all the flyable aircraft of Lock On: Flaming Cliffs and include several fan-requested upgrades to aircraft, sensor, and weapon systems.

Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 will feature the same world environment and game functionality as the Digital Combat Simulation (DCS) series and will be online compatible with the Ka-50 attack helicopter simulation DCS: Black Shark http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com. Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 will allow Lock On pilots and Black Shark pilots to now fly online together in both cooperative and head-to-head online play.

EDIT:

Ah, that's what I get for leaving the reply window open for so long. I replied to your unedited post, and now I see that my reply is superfluous.

Ha, ya I know the feeling.

I know shaggy is usually right so I gave a look and found the thread by ED.

I think it would still be nice to get rid of that green pilot. Some may not purchase LOFC 2.0 and that would be a benefit to those people.Cheers.
