Grimes Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Good to hear that it has been upgraded. Does it have any priority in their bandit calls? Such as it will choose to call the bandit at 50nm to you first rather than one thats 200nm out? The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. EvilBivol-1 Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 (edited) I don't know off-hand if there is any priority logic and I suspect it just calls out contacts as they are detected. AWACS calls out the following events: - new contact - new pop-up group (>100 m) - within 50 nm - within 5 nm ("merged") One of the problems before was that if a new contact/pop-up group was detected within 50/5 nm, AWACS would call it out as a new/pop-up group and then right away call it out again as having approached within 50/5 nm. This has been fixed. Edited March 6, 2010 by EvilBivol-1 - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
