Erdogan Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Hi guys now I have the same problem with the loading time. It's almost 45 min from the loading screen to the cockpit any ideas ? I'm using : Win XP SP3 RAM : 2048 Mb/800MHz VGA: GeForce 8600 GT CPU: AMD Athlon X2 5200+ MOTHERBOARD: ASUS M2A VM
EtherealN Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Start with performing a DxDiag and attach the output file here - that way we can hopefully ensure that your system is healthy. Help on how to perform that is available in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=44466 Also, welcome to the forum and love the screen name. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Erdogan Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I think this is the important info we need about my system if I wrong correct me pls THANKS :) System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 12/10/2009, 22:52:33 Machine name: FLIGHT-19890402 Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Szervizcsomag 3 (2600.xpsp.080413-2111) Language: Hungarian (Regional Setting: Hungarian) System Manufacturer: System manufacturer System Model: System Product Name BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz Memory: 2046MB RAM Page File: 348MB used, 3591MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.5512 32bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ DirectX Files Tab: The file directx.cpl is a debug version, which will run slower than the retail version. Display Tab 1: No problems found. Display Tab 2: No problems found. Sound Tab 1: No problems found. Music Tab: No problems found. Input Tab: No problems found. Network Tab: No problems found.
EtherealN Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 That does look healthy enough. Have you checked if the load times change if you disable sound and disconnect all unecessary peripherals? (Start a mission without joystick, pedals or anything like that connected. Don't have to wait a full 45 minutes if it seems to still have the issue though - if the issue is solved through that it'll be noticed in a few minutes and we could then isolate the source.) It would be interesting to see the part that shows which keyboard, mouse and joystick you use. There have been issues with the Microsoft Sidewinder mouse, for example. Erdogan Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I tried out without yojstick and sound but the loading time is the same 45 :S
EtherealN Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Could you share the part of your DxDiag file that lists those peripherals? It's a lot easier to build a picture if one can browse through the whole system, so to speak. Aside from that, I'll have to do a bit of digging to see if I can come up with possible solutions. Also, which version of the simulator do you run? 1.0.1c? If so, you could uninstall it and reinstall and then see if the same behaviour manifests in a clean 1.0.0 installation. EtherealN Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Unfortunately I didn't find anything conclusive in your DxDiag file, Erdogan. :( There's no glaring registry issues that I was able to see, so the only thing that raised an eyebrow is this: ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ DirectX Files Tab: The file directx.cpl is a debug version, which will run slower than the retail version. Never seen that before, so while it might possibly be causing the issue you are experiencing it is not the same issue where we have previously been able to reach a solution. You could uninstall DirectX and then reinstall it and see if the behaviour changes, but since that one is mainly related to the Control Panel rather than the dynamic link libraries of DX I don't think it really makes a difference. :/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Panzertard Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Your Nvidia-driver is older that the Queen of England; Driver Name: nv4_disp.dll Driver Version: 6.14.0011.5827 (English) DDI Version: 9 (or higher) Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 5/10/2007 23:03:00, 5421312 bytes Not that the video-driver would cause these slowdowns, but it indicates to me that you may not have full control on how your ocmputer is put together - and some of your other system drivers may be too old as well. Sound drivers a bit old as well; Driver Name: RtkHDAud.sys Driver Version: 5.10.0000.5391 (English) Driver Attributes: Final Retail WHQL Logo'd: Yes Date and Size: 3/26/2007 12:21:06, 4395008 bytes AS for the DxDiag note found, already mentioned by Ethereal; ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ DirectX Files Tab: The file directx.cpl is a debug version, which will run slower than the retail version. I would take this as an indication that you may have installed different versions of DirectX on your computer - and you may have conflicting components there as well. If I found this setup at a friends computer I would have gone through every component of the system and updated it's drivers. I would also have done a full health-check on the system, because it indicates that he may not have been fully aware of all the things happening in a OS over a 2 year period. I dont say you're sloppy taking care of your computer - but you may need some help from a friend to do a checkup to see if everything is okai. :) Update the drivers, ensure that you get rid of all software pieces that you dont use any more. Disk-healt checks, anti-virus (or oher kind of malware) checkups - the full job. :) If you can start doing this by yourself that would be even better - you may learn a few new things about your computer :) The mind is like a parachute. Erdogan Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 " MY HEART IS BEATING THE BLADES ARE SPINNING " I uninstalled the win XP and installed the win 7 and now its finally working. 2 minute loading time I hope it's will be working for a long time. Now I can go and upgrade my ka50 experience before trying the online war. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE HELPS AND THE PATIENCE !!!:):):)
Panzertard Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009  Glad to hear you got it sorted by upgrading to another os. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
Boulund Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Actually, I'm -not- glad it got sorted by upgrading to another OS. It's just another way of saying "we have no idea what fixed the problem". This isn't problem solving (technically it is, since the problem is solved... but in a lousy way =D) but problem by-passing. I'd love to know what really caused these 20min loading times! =) Core i5-760 @ 3.6Ghz, 4GB DDR3, Geforce GTX470, Samsung SATA HDD, Dell UH2311H 1920x1080, Saitek X52 Pro., FreeTrack homemade cap w/ LifeCam VX-1000, Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1. EtherealN Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Well, in the case of the OP we know with some certainty what caused it - a very unhealthy system with severe registry issues and possibly broken drivers. As for the latter case - harder to say. There are similar indicators but this kind of issue would have to be replicated in a controlled environment before a specific cause can be pinpointed. And it is not an easy thing to break a system on purpose in a way that would replicate several years of accidental wear and tear.
