Hello.

My problem is, speed respect ground indicator disappears (randomly?) from the HUD.

Most of the time it's not shown. I tried to find an explanation to this behavior in the manual but I didn't find anything.

I tried to start the helicopter with the "cheat start" to test if the indicator works OK on this way, but by this way the problem stills.

So it is a bug? I am doing something wrong?

Also, the TV screen turns off sometimes too (not at the same time than HUD speed indicator) without touching any button.

A screenshot of the HUD without the speed indicator: Screenshot.

I'm running Black Shark on Windows 7 64 bits, spanish version updated to 1.0.1c. But I didn't have any other problems in win7 64 with BS, everything seems to works perfect for me except this issue.

Thank you in advance.

Whenever you have a weapon selected the HUD declutters - and that removes the ground speed indication. To regain the GS indication you reset your weapon system (reset button on the left-hand targeting control station) and make sure that you do not have cannon selected.

The screenshot looks like you do not have a weapon selected though, so I would suspect that you do not have your generators on. (Right-hand switches, close to the batteries.) Flying on battery power causes it to fail. There might also be insufficient power if you do not have your throttles set to Auto (PgUp twice on startup).

A complete analysis could be made if you save a track file that displays this behaviour (after the flight, when viewing the results screen, just select "save track"). You can attach that .trk file which will be found a subfolder of your Missions folder within your DCS installation through selecting "go advanced" on the forum response box, and then selecting the paperclip icon.

Sounds like you are over stressing the engines, causing low rotor RPM, causing the generators to cut out. The Yellow warning light and warning tone sound when in Low Rotor RPM.

This will cause the Shkval (TV screen) to turn off and the Doppler radar (used to obtain altitude and Ground speed) to turn off and restart. The radar takes a few minutes to restart.

Edit:- the way to avoid this situation is to be gentle with the collective and give the engines time to respond to any change in the blade pitch. The engines cant spool up fast enough if you pull maximum collective very quickly.

It won't instantly show speed in the HUD after startup. It needs time for warmup/calibration.

If you overload your engines by pushing too high AoA of blades, rotors will slow too much and you will get power outage. Such outages are bad for stabilization (autopilot) system, which will need to recalibrate after power is restored. The same is for GS in the HUD.

Well, I have seen the problem myself watching the track.

When I put back the left hand on the throttle to use the collective triggers and other buttons I have on it, the throttle recognizes a little movement of 1%, enough to change the throttles from Auto to Idle, then it doesnt generates enough power. My fault :P now I feel stupid haha.

Sorry for the waste of your time. And thank you EtherealN, Nate--IRL-- and ZaltysZ. I learned some things about throttle and power from you in the way.

Hm, so you have your throttle stick coupled to the throttles? Do not do that. There is no reason to adjust throttle settings except on startup and shutdown unless you have an in-flight emergency (such as a failure of one engine where you might want to set the other engine to Emergency power to carry you home on it's own).

Set your throttle lever on your joystick or HOTAS to control the collective and use buttons for the Throttles. The collective is something you want to be able to constantly use with fine precision in order to coordinate your maneuvers, but the throttle levers should just be placed at Auto and kept there.
