STP Dragon Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 DOWNLOAD Installation by ModMan! This is a bugfix for the soundbug which appear sporadically by the change between external view and cockpit view. The soundbug played a loud sound of the blades which you can't fix by the "F2-F1-viewchange". The bugfix will exchange the affected soundfile "RotorKA50Noise.wav" and replace it with a muted one. So you will not hear this sound anymore. You can't notice a change of the normal gamesound. Panzertard Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Just a heads up; - if you switch to F2 and back to F1 it resolves itself. - if you open and close cockpit door (RCTRL+C) it resolves itself. (Airspeed must be less than 150kp/h) The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
Boberro Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 But if there are no external views it doesn't work. Door is also baad solution :P Often when another chopper is close your sound is bugged, sound engine in this game is the worst I've ever seen. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ

Door is also baad solution :P Often when another chopper is close your sound is bugged, sound engine in this game is the worst I've ever seen. Thats why it's good to have all the options, mods & workaround - so you can choose. :) As for the sound-engine, yes, it does have a few problems. I hope it will be adressed in future versions. ;) The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
STP Dragon Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) Just a heads up; - if you switch to F2 and back to F1 it resolves itself. - if you open and close cockpit door (RCTRL+C) it resolves itself. (Airspeed must be less than 150kp/h) This is NOT the bug the bugfix is made for! Please read the description. There are two soundbugs: 1st: The soundbug you described. This soundbug you can fix by switch between F2-F1. The sound is the enginesound you can hear if the door is open too. 2nd: The soundbug the fix is made for. It is sporadically after you switch from the external view to the cockpit again. It is a secondary blade-sound of the rotor. You CAN'T fix this by switch between F2-F1 or open and close the door! If the bug appear the sound is static till you get shot down and joining in a new Ka-50. And this is the bug, the bugfix is made for.
