thaFunkster Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Hi, I run lock on on one 22" 1980X1080 monitor. I have a second 19" monitor spare, and I thought I could use the LUA export function so that I can see instruments on it. Questions: How do I get started doing this? It is not possible to have radar and MFDs on on a second display is it? Is it possible to have lua instruments and a map of the theater side by side on this monitor? (I am supposing I just use a photo program or Adobe Reader to display the map...) Thanks and merry Christmas, Funk. Funk on YouTube!
Moa Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Please look for Lock On Virtual Panel either in these fora or at LockOnFiles. There is a very interesting project being produced by =RvE= Yoda (with a little help from myself and others) called LEAVU2 which has a long thread on these ED fora. It already does what you want (although it requires the upcoming Flaming Cliffs 2.0).
thaFunkster Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Great thanks for help, looking it up now. Funk on YouTube!
thaFunkster Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 Ok, I have it working fine. Two questions: Is it possible to get instruments for US aircraft? And is it possible to display radar and MFD information? Thanks again. Funk on YouTube!
RvEYoda Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) all displays in LEAVU2 except the HUD display realtime ingame information, but currently they only work with FC2, so you will need to wait for FC2 release I am afraid.. ( and you also need to install the lua script that comes with leavu2 ) There is an old LEAVU1 version somewhere out there for Fc1.12. thaFunkster Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 One thing I have noticed using this is that the if you are following the localiser and glidescope down for landing, the LUA instruments will show that you are too high, where as the in game ones show you are right on the glidescope. I have tested this a number of times and it is always the case...Meaning you cannot use these instruments to approach for a carrier landing. Funk on YouTube!

Maybe the lua instruments that you use assume an incorrect carrier deck altitude? S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). thaFunkster Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 No, it happens with runways too...The glidescope is being shown at a lower altitude than it really is. The version I am using is the latest one availble at lockon files. Funk on YouTube!

digital_steve Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 This is what i wanted to do as well (not go with LOVP, but with something like LEAVU for MFD's and such). Anyone know where LEAVU1 is!?
