I am considering building my own cyclic, pedals and collective for BS built with realistic mechanical trimming like in real helicopters. The problem is that I don't know if it could be made to work with BS. The controller system would not have FFB so the in-game trimming simulation needs to be turned off so that the trimmer button would affect only autopilot functioning in game. I haven't found a way to do this. Connecting some random FFB controller disables the in-game trimming but will it affect all axes or only cyclic? I went through all .lua files that seemed relevant by name and couldn't find anything that helps. Then again I don't know or understand lua. Is there any way to make external trimming to work in BS?

I'll be testing this shortly. But as far as I can see It will have be a combination of a seperate mechanical trimming and an IO Card that is programmed to activate the trim command.. But as I said, I haven't tried it yet..

Any progress on this issue? I am getting closer to posting pics of my "buildt in trim function" Joystick now. And it would be nice to know if I have wasted my time on building it..!?

Ps. Like I ever feel like building anything is a waste of time.. LOL
