I think you are wrong Slug88.

 

DCS is from ED and only from ED.

 

But for FC2 you need LOMAC 1.0 and here Ubisoft it´s owner too.

FC2 will be using the same DRM as DCS: Black Shark - ie. Star Force activation.

 

It will not be Ubisoft's DRM.

Short summary of how this works:

 

ED developed LO, Ubisoft published.

ED dropped UBI.

TFC/ED developed and published FC.

TFC/ED developed and published DCS:BS

 

Ubisoft is only relevant for the original LockOn. I believe CIS countries had 1C as publisher even there.

 

So basically, anything Ubisoft says or does is completely irrelevant to anything that ED and/or TFC does. They still hold rights to the Lock On trademark in the west (which is why TFC/ED is unable to republish combination boxes on it's own in the west), but anything and everything after that is just TFC and ED.
