fangav Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Hi all I tried to host a game today and realized in my drop-down interface box I only have my computer IP address?. Shouldn't there be an "all interface" or something similar as well? My mates had to join via "enter IP" as i didn't show up in the server list. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Prophet4no1 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Server list only shows dedicated servers I think. So if you host a game from your PC they should not show up. You must have a pretty fast connection if you are hosting a game. I have a 15-30mb/s down and 4-8mb/s up and still have issues hosting mosting games. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EtherealN Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Prophet, a "dedicated" server is nothing else than a dedicated box running the same server app as you and I are. As long as ports and such are set up, your games will show up too. Sometimes you may have to give it a bit of time though to update the lists properly. fangav Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 To clarify, Should I have an "all interface" option in my interface dropped down in the host screen, because I don't.? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
takamba Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 No, you can only choose between LAN or Internet. If the port forwarding (if needed) is working correctly, your server will appear in the server list. DCS Rafale - please
