seahawk Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 (edited) Hi, After applying the 1.0.1c patch (English) patch, the sim works great with no errors. However, after overclocking the CPU the game will load but when trying to make any changes to the options menu an error will occur. Please advice. seahawk US DVD Retail Version 1.0.1c patch (English) patch applied Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit, AMD 5200+ CPU, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 1TB SATA HD, 1X Evga 8800GTS 640MB Note: All other games works fine with the cpu overclock. EtherealN Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Is it installed in C:\Program Files? That there looks like the launcher does not have write priviliges to it's folder, and is therefore unrelated to the overclock. Launch as Administrator or run it outside Program Files (for example install into C:\Games or something similar). seahawk Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 It is installed in D Drive Eagle Dynamics folder. I had no problems with the game even with 1.0.1c patch (English) patch applied. This error is post overclocking the CPU. Please Advise. Thanks seahawk
EtherealN Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Review this thread - you have the exact same error message, and Admin rights solved it for that user: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=47033 If you are entirely sure it's about the CPU, reset it back to standard clock and try again. If behaviour persists it is unrelated to your overclock. But try starting as administrator first. Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 If you want to overclock properly. download and run prime95 and run it overnight. If you have no errors running it, then your overclock is stable. If you have errors, I'm afraid you're overclock is not.
